Chanticleer Garden

Near Philadelphia, there is a treasure of a garden tucked away on 35 acres that formerly beonged to the Rosengarten family. Now called Chanticleer, it terms itself a "pleasure garden." It's full of horticultural treasures, innovative plantings, artistic touches and statuary in unexpected places, and surprise and delight. I have visited only twice so far but hope to return often. Beautiful in any season, late summer is perhaps its best. Don't miss The Ruins and the Teacup Garden.

For more information on Chanticleer's hours and the garden, visit its website.
