Garden Photography
Spring scene at Chanticleer

Photographing gardens is a passion for me. In the summer of 2001, I took a wonderful garden tour of south central England, visiting some spectacular private gardens as well as places like Sissinghurst and Stourhead. The photographs I took inspired me to write about the trip for the Washington Post and The Garden Letter and to continue my photography efforts at home and elsewhere.

Gardens can be places of refuge, respite, and celebration. Recording them and some of their individual treasures in digital images and on film has been one of the great pleasures of the last several years for me. If you'd like to preserve your own garden in visual images, or simply record its changes over time, I can help.
