Stonecrop Gardens and Wave Hill

"It would be worthwhile having a cultivated garden if only to see what Autumn does to it."
Alfred Austin, The Garden That I Love (1894)

When the gardens in question are those at Wave Hill and Stonecrop, Autumn's approach only enriches the view. Stonecrop (in Cold Spring, NY) was created by Frank and Ann Cabot, founders of the Garden Conservancy.Wave Hill, in The Bronx, is a public garden overlooking the Hudson River. Neither should be missed.
