The Bishop's Garden at the Washington National Cathedral

Located on the south side of the grounds of the Washington National Cathedral, the Bishop's Garden is modeled after a medieval walled garden. Boxwoods, ivy, tea roses, yew trees, and an assortment of arches, bas-reliefs, and stonework from European ruins provide a restful counterpoint to the cathedral's towers. The All Hallows Guild, a volunteer organization, is responsible for the upkeep of the Cathedral's substantial horticultural treasures, including the Bishop's Garden.
